Mesa County Commissioners today proclaimed May 3-7, 2021, as Teacher Appreciation Week to express their gratitude for the educators who equip and empower students.

Mesa County Valley School District 51 employs 2,884 teachers and staff currently serving 21,081 students in 46 schools throughout the Grand Valley.

Mesa County thanks teachers that work hard in schools every day to provide a safe, high-quality, and stable learning environment for children.
