Phase 1 - Week 46:
Palisade Plunge Trail crews resumed work on Phase 1 on Monday, Aug. 3. To date, a total of about 15.88 miles of total finished trail is complete leaving about 1.28 miles to go before the completion of Phase 1.

Phase 2 - Week 4:
Last week, crews went into overdrive, completing nearly 1.7 miles of new trail, ending the workweek at milepost (MP) 7.8. Rain and lightning cost the crew a few hours of work throughout the week, but this was made up for by the sheer size of the crew, starting with 17 employees on Monday, and finishing the week with 10 crew members. This marks the last week the Phase 1 crew will be combined with the Phase 2 crew. As these crew members return to complete the remainder of Phase 1, the Phase 2 crew will receive a temporary helping hand from the Western Colorado Conservation Corps.

Construction on the Shirttail parking lot continues as planned. The next layer of fill was placed, drainages have been established, and the future restroom site was cleared and excavated. The parking lot is still scheduled to be finished by Sept. 1, and the restroom will be installed shortly after.

To date, a total of about 3.78 miles of total finished trail is complete, which leaves approximately 10.96 miles to go before the completion of Phase 2.
Outstanding items for both Phases:
The Forest Service is still compiling their report for the SHPO historical survey on Otto Wall. Once completed, Singletrack Trails will be allowed to begin reconstructing the wall and creating a rideable trail through the area.
