ABMDI is an independent professional certification board that has been established to promote the highest standards of practice for medicolegal death investigators.
Coroner Yahn is now one of 267 in the United States, one of 22 in Colorado, the only in western Colorado, and the first-ever in Mesa County to earn the certification.
“A strong network of highly trained medical examiners and coroners is central to a well-functioning death investigating system,” said Mesa County Coroner Victor Yahn. “This certification serves as a blueprint for federal, state, and local officials as they work to build their forensic capabilities and apply evidence-based practices to their most pressing death investigation challenges.”
