County Submits Grant Application for Orchard Avenue Safety and Connectivity Project

We are pleased to announce that Mesa County will submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Orchard Avenue Safety and Connectivity Project. This project aims to improve the safety and connectivity of the Orchard Avenue area between 29 ½ Road to Warrior Way (Central High School) for residents and visitors alike.

The County is seeking approximately $13 million from the RAISE Grant Program to support this important project. The funds will be used to improve roadways, sidewalks, and intersections to enhance overall safety and accessibility for all users.

This project significantly impacts the quality of life for residents in the area, and we are committed to working with our U.S. Department of Transportation partners to bring this vision to fruition.
