A bird's-eye view of the 18.5-K.99A Bridge Replacement project. |
Progress continues on the 18.5-K.99A Bridge Replacement project. Last week, the remainder of the concrete box culverts were set for the new bridge over the Little Salt Walsh on 18.5 Road.
Previous releases:
This week, after lining the bottom of Little Salt Wash with concrete erosion mats, crews removed the dams on both sides of the structure, and the water is now flowing freely through the center box culvert as intended.
Crews prepare the bottom of the wash for the concrete erosion mats, while others install rebar and concrete forms to pour the headwall, which will tie all three culverts together. |

As the snow melts off and irrigation water is turned on, this structure will see a lot more water than the trickle flowing through at the moment. |
Next, crews will construct four wing walls off the inlet and outlet and backfill the entire structure. The project is scheduled to be completed by early to mid-May.
