A Mesa County truck working on road maintenance up on Big Creek sinks into the ground as muddy conditions continue in the high country.
The Uncompahgre National Forest remains closed at the Forest Service gate at the top of Divide Road. We will reopen the roads as soon as we can, weather permitting. Thank you for your patience.
Travel in muddy conditions creates deep ruts that damage roads and trails.
Please respect gates and closed areas and find alternate locations to recreate to allow muddy roads and trails time to dry out.
