The Board of Mesa County Commissioners declared October as Manufacturing Month in Mesa County and recognized the industry for its role in economic growth in western Colorado.
Manufacturing jobs make up 4.5 percent of total employment in Mesa County with a projected 8.9 percent increase for the manufacturing industry over the next five years. Additionally, manufacturing jobs in Mesa County are stable, well-paid positions.
