Mesa County Sheriff's Office Sgt. John Coleman, left, and his son Seth Coleman. Seth was sworn in on Thursday and is working in the Alternative Sentencing Unit. His father, John, has been employed for more than 15 years with MCSO.

Mesa County  Health Department employees take a break to do push-ups together. They are participating in February's Healthy Heart Challenge by using break time to do push-ups and core work together. 

Colorado Code Consultants held a continuing education class Thursday and Friday at the Old Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., for building departments and local contractors to review code changes. 

Mesa County Animal Services' newest employee Joe Cruz works, while also helping socialize a shy dog.
