The Board of County Commissioners has imposed a temporary moratorium on the submission, acceptance, processing, and approval of any land use or business that engages in or operates as a skilled gaming business.
This moratorium has been put in place due to concerns about increased crime, lack of public health oversight, and unregulated flow of money associated with these businesses.
The County has imposed a 6-month ban to assess the regulations and licensing to secure Mesa County's residents' well-being, safety, and health.
