This week, Mesa County approved a Memorandum of Agreement (MOU) between the City of Grand Junction, City of Fruita, and Town of Palisade to apply for the Safe Streets and Roads for all Action Plan Grant.
The agreement establishes the line of communication and responsibility for various work items necessary to complete the grant. It also sets the intention of the county and municipalities to provide matching funds for the grant if awarded.
The estimated project cost is $325,000, with $260,000 coming from the grant and the remaining $65,000 spread among the county and municipalities.
