The new bridge has a much broader structure to allow for future road corridor improvements and increase the safety of the canal crossing. The bridge's elevation was raised approximately 3 feet to create increased clearance from the canal water and improve sight distance along 34 Road.
This project consisted of the complete reconstruction of approximately 1,000 linear feet of asphalt roadway, 1,500 square feet of large block gravity retaining wall, improved roadway drainage, and a 65' foot long roadway bridge over the Government Highline canal at 34 Road.
