Mesa County thanks all foster parents who care for children and youth displaced from their birth parents and commends the hard work, love, and time kinship parents give to the children and youth.
Foster parents provide children with the love, safety, and stability to overcome past traumatic experiences. Currently, there are approximately 200 children in Mesa County under the care of foster parents.
During National Foster Care Month, Mesa County celebrates those who have invited a child in need into their hearts and homes and expresses profound appreciation for all who help make foster care possible.
