County buys property in De Beque to build community hall

Mesa County has officially purchased two properties (parcel numbers 2445-272-11-005 and 2445-272-12-001) from Jones-DeBeque Properties, LLC to build a community hall.

Mesa County has purchased approximately 2.51 acres of property near 4th Street in De Beque for $360,000 to build a new community hall to connect community members. The properties are ideal due to their size and proximity to the downtown area.

Construction will soon get underway. The anticipated completion of the community hall is December 2022.

The official purchase of the two properties (parcel numbers 2445-272-11-005 and 2445-272-12-001) comes after the Board of County Commissioners (video timestamp 36:30) approved purchasing contracts with Jones-DeBeque Properties, LLC on Dec. 6, 2021.
