On Oct. 11, County Administrator Peter Baier and Budget Manager Spencer Rockwell presented the 2022 proposed budget during the Board of Mesa County Commissioners' administrative public hearing.
"This budget upholds Mesa County's commitment to fiscal stability while expanding access to critical services," Mesa County Administrator Peter Baier said. "Our priority is to continue to build and support our community through services that enhance the quality of life."
"We are also addressing key gaps in staffing levels to be able to enhance the delivery of services to our residents," Baier added.
The total county budget is $239,895,236. This represents an increase of 23% (or $44,896,371) over the 2021 adopted budget. The net county budget, which deducts interfund transfers and internal services, totals $198,361,179.
The proposed General Fund budget includes $72,233,101 in estimated revenue and $71,712,713 proposed appropriations. To review more detailed information, click here.
