Blake Ammon (right) from Mesa County Partners accepted the National Mentoring Month Proclamation on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, presented by the Mesa County Commissioners. |
Mesa County Partners pairs adult role models with at-risk youth while providing various structured activities and support to build quality mentoring programs for youth in our community.
Currently, there is a great need for mentors in our community. Mesa County Partners has over 100 kids that are waiting to be matched with a mentor.
Quality mentoring programs are proven to build relationships that help improve school attendance and academic achievement, promote responsible decision making, and provide skills to better navigate relationships at school, socially, and at home.
