Mesa County Commissioners Cody Davis and Janet Rowland will officially take office on Tuesday, Jan. 12. The swearing-in ceremony will start at 9 a.m. in the old Mesa County Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., public hearing room on the second floor.
Mesa County voters elected Cody Davis, for District 1 County Commissioner, and Janet Rowland, for District 3 County Commissioner.
“Thank you, it is my honor to serve as your County Commissioner,” Davis said. “I will work hard on issues that Mesa County faces.”
County Commissioners serve for four years and can serve up to two terms. Their primary functions are to be the county’s policy-making body and oversee the county's budgetary processes to provide public services desired by the citizens of Mesa County.
“I am honored and humbled to have the continued confidence of the Mesa County voters,” said Rowland. “Thank you for allowing me to represent you.”
