Grand Valley Transit - Time for a Makeover
February of 2020 marked 20 years of service for Grand Valley Transit. When service began in 2000, Mesa County had only two buses providing service. Flash forward 20 years and the GVT fleet has grown to 29 buses; offering service on 11 fixed routes and complementary Paratransit service in Fruita, Grand Junction, and Palisade. Over time GVT has integrated online mapping services, built new transfer stations, converted the entire fleet to environmentally friendly CNG buses and continues to add new, upgraded vehicles and services to the local community.
Mesa County RTPO recognizes that it is time for the GVT “look” to evolve, as well. Moving forward, our vision is to have buses and services that represent a community that is exciting, modern, beautiful and clean. With the help of Ryan Sawyer Marketing, we have developed three new branding options that represent the Grand Valley community, showcase recognizable local and transit icons, and provide passengers a more visible connection to the GVT's Downtown shuttle system known as "The Dash."
We want to hear from you, please take a moment to share your opinion about the new GVT Look. Take the survey; respond by October 18
