Today 126 Mesa County employees were recognized for their tenure and dedication to public service at the Mesa County 40th Annual Employee Recognition Ceremony at the old Mesa County Courthouse hosted by the Mesa County Employee’s Association (MCEA), along with leadership and the Board of Mesa County Commissioners.

The event provided an opportunity to say “thank you” to employees for their many years of hard work and dedication in touching the lives of Mesa County residents every day through their professionalism, commitment to excellence, and dedicated service.

“Mesa County employees work every day to preserve the public safety and the wellbeing of our residents, encourage economic development, build and maintain our roads, and handle a variety of essential duties entrusted to them,” said Scott McInnis, Chairman of the Board of Mesa County Commissioners. “Their continued dedication to providing the highest quality of service for all of our residents makes Mesa County a place we are proud to call home.”

Those honored included employees who have served five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years — together, these employees have a combined 1,570 years of service!

Congratulations to everyone who was recognized!
