The Board of Mesa County Commissioners today proclaimed September 13-19, 2020, as Direct Support Professional Recognition Week in Mesa County.
Direct support professionals, direct care workers, and in-home support workers are the primary providers of publicly funded long-term support and services for hundreds of individuals in Mesa County.
STRiVE direct support professionals provide essential support to help keep an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities connected to their family and community, live meaningful, successful lives, and avoid costly institutional care.
