The Board of Mesa County Commissioners proclaims June 2019 as Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month in Mesa County.

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative brain disorder that tragically robs individuals of their memories and leads to progressive mental and physical impairments.

More than 5.8 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s disease, including 73,000 in Colorado.
