Inside Mesa County, the nine-week course that gives community members an inside look at their county government, began Monday evening.

More than 30 people are taking the free course this spring, held  Monday evenings at the Mesa County Workforce Center.

On the opening night, attendees heard from Commissioners Rose Pugliese, John Justman and Scott McInnis, as well as County Administrator Frank Whidden.

Future sessions will feature the Sheriff, Assessor, Surveyor, Clerk and Recorder, District Attorney, County Attorney and Treasurer, as well as the Health Department, Department of Human Services, Public Works, Animal Services, Criminal Justice Services and the Coroner.

A second Inside Mesa County class will be held this fall. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter (@MesaCountyNews) for more information as the date gets closer.
