The deputy is a fan of the show and volunteered his time to participate in the filming. The Sheriff's Office was proud to be able to help showcase how beautiful Mesa County is to the show's international audience!  The Sheriff's Office was happy to help them continue on their Grand Tour of Colorado..... at a safe speed of course. Attendees of the Western Colorado Horticultural Society annual conference took a bus tour through Hotchkiss and Palisade to visit orchards and learn what fellow fruit growers are working on.

Fruit growers from around the region check out a new piece of equipment to help with the pruning, thinning, and harvesting processes.

The owner of Wacky Apple Orchard in Hotchkiss welcomed growers and researchers from Colorado, Utah, and other states to tour his orchard and learn about the pros and cons of the "super spindle" growing technique.
