Officials from United Way of Mesa County spoke to the Mesa County Commissioners this morning, thanking Mesa County government for its support.
This year, Mesa County employees gave $13,459 to United Way of Mesa County. Mesa County government participated in United Way's online giving platform, offered this year for the first time.
“Frank Whidden has provided us with leadership to find a better way to deliver our campaigns electronically," said Lindy Hodges, Resource Development Manager for United Way of Mesa County. "Jean Davis and Rick Corsi volunteered to help us better understand the needs of Mesa County employees. Scott Stewart and Stephanie Reecy’s dedication, respect and integrity proved invaluable. Their service, along with that of the many coordinators within departments, was behind this year’s success. This year, we were able to offer our first online giving platform, with Mesa County blazing the trail. This would not have been possible without the leadership, service and support of your team.

One donation helps 47 local programs make measurable differences across the health and human service spectrum, said Honora Thompson, Marketing and Events Manager for United Way of Mesa County.
“The employees of Mesa County deserve a huge shout out,” Thompson said. “There are so many wonderful causes in our area. The fact that Mesa County employees choose to support the community through United Way of Mesa County is amazing. When we work together, we can make Mesa County a better, more connected place for all of us.”
