At Monday's Administrative Hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners proclaimed November 2015 as Diabetes Awareness Month.
There to accept the proclamation were Chelsea Wells, Fran Parker, Sarah Robinson and Katie Goddeyne of the Mesa County Health Department and Janiel, Matt and Brody Swenson, a family affected by diabetes.
The Mesa County Health Department is implementing a Diabetes prevention program to reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes in Mesa County adults.
