On Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, Hilltop honored the 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office with a trophy for being the top fundraising team that participated in the 2022 Men in Heels race. All funds raised for the event were donated to Hilltop's Latimer House and Domestic Violence Services.

The Latimer House provides domestic violence and sexual assault services to anyone in Western Colorado, including Mesa, Montrose, Delta, and Ouray Counties.

The DA's Office raised $3,240.88 to help those affected by domestic violence. The donations help victims continue to receive emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and other vital services.

"It is definitely a collaborative effort amongst our social committee members. We start brainstorming early in the year to find creative ways to raise money and make our office fun," said Jordan Weimer, DA's Office Social Committee Member. "Our goal was to be the top fundraising team since we started participating in Men in Heels, and this year we finally accomplished that!"
