Clifton Community Campus partners and stakeholders on Thursday, September 8, broke ground on the 27-acre site, 3270 D ½ Road.
The event celebrated the importance of this project, which aims to better serve residents in Clifton while promoting a better quality of life through accessible services and resources.
The campus will be home to an early childhood education center, training center, and community center.
Speakers included Cody Davis and Janet Rowland, Mesa County Commissioners, Jeff Kuhr, Mesa County Public Health Director, Dr. Brian Hill, District 51 Superintendent, Tyler Jones, Rocky Mountain Elementary School Principal, Brigitte Sonderman, Colorado Mesa University Vice President of Community College Affairs, Michelle Boisvenue-Fox, Mesa County Libraries Director, Rocky Mountain Elementary School Student Representative.
The nearly $27 million project is scheduled to be completed and open to the public in 2024.
