Commissioners support Marillac Clinic’s Clifton Capital Campaign application

The Board of County Commissioners approved a letter of support for Marillac Clinic’s Clifton Capital Campaign application to become a Mesa County Enterprise Zone Contribution Project to build a new 20,000 square foot clinic on Mesa County's Clifton Community Campus, D ½ and 32 ½ roads.

The letter states: 

“On behalf of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners, please accept this letter in support of the proposed Mesa County Enterprise Zone Contribution Project submitted by Marillac Clinic/Capital Campaign to be utilized to construct the Marillac Facility D ½ Road and 32 ½ Road in Mesa County. 

Mesa County values the importance of promotion the creation and retention of resources to improve economic development, health needs, and vitality of our community. This request will provide a Community Facility that will promote higher wages as well as support entry level/part time/low wage workforce with access to affordable medical care. 

Our support is pursuant to the Contribution Project meeting statutory requirements of the Enterprise Zone. We understand that the application will be subject to review and final approval by the Economic Development Commission and we urge them to approve the application. 

Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to continuing to work together toward longterm economic opportunities for our citizens.”
