Progress continues on the rehabilitation of the Mesa-G.8-39.1 Bridge, located on North River Road over the Colorado River, east of Palisade. The project aims to extend the life of the bridge by repairing the deck.
Crews have removed asphalt and are working to remove the top of the concrete deck. Once the concrete is repaired, new railings will be installed — lastly, a new road surface will be placed across the bridge.
Project Schedule and Information
The project operates Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The anticipated completion date is April 2022.
Travel & Other Impacts
North River Road is closed to traffic at the bridge. Local access will be provided west of the bridge on the marked detour through Palisade.
